Report from the Brandywine Valley
Having never done an "artist's tour" of, say - Provence, Tahiti - I don't know that thrill. What I know from a weekend in the Wyeth's Brandywine Valley (Chad's Ford, PA) is a Wyeth landscape, live.
The valley's bucolic and less spooky (on a spring day) than the Wyeth men would have you believe. Barn sitings, the many textures of rot and wear and the cloud cover moves in.
I have a folder full of rusted locks, severe barn-sides and horse stalls hungs heavy with cobwebs.
C - brooding
