Have been lazy
Borders Time Square, overpriced, no plug points, but no Starbucks soundtrack (either)
Ease of posting photos from own computer has made me post-lazy. Throw up another photo vs. take up the more focused efforts demanded by actually writing something.
But realizing - with the current confusing spate of houses being looked at, apartments for sale and family real estate on the market - sandwich-ing a scary photo of an aunt, some explanation might be needed.
Basics:
I'm selling my Chelsea apartment. First open house yesterday. Despite muggy, sultriness of the Sunday, brave/real estate-obsessed New Yorkers came out to see. Broker reports: No bids, lots of lingering.
I'm looking to buy a house upstate-ish. Uncle Bill is my guide, I've gone up twice in past two weeks, I love it up there, can't wait to garden and see if can be more than a weeder.
My grandmother, Mimi, is very sick and - pretty much confined to dreary nursing home (there are photos but I won't post) - her house in Oyster Bay, "Carriage House" is on the market.
Other real estate mentions you might encounter: Ruslan may sell his apartment and is looking - broadly and with great focus - up and down the city's west side.
So - that's the report. In the meantime, I need to get my head out of real estate and back into pitching/writing - too long away...
Love
