Canasta, Majhong and parlor games-past
Inspired by the generational-strata in the pantry drawers of our family's house in Maine, I've decided to introduce archaic parlor games to the to-do-in-new house agenda. Toss the tv, screw satellite, we're going to:
Canasta! Found score sheets in every drawer, tucked between pages. Entertained great grandparents and house guests for summer's past.
Mahjong! revived in some circles - not yet in my own but soon.
Then there's Scrabble, charades, dictionary. Next I'll be making friends sing show tunes and read aloud...

Ignore post that was up for part of today - a morning rant that was a mess. Will be reconsidered, then reposted, one of these days when my many strands of thought are better combed-through.
