Divine Chocolate

Not much trumps an unexpected package. The devine messenger was the FedEx man - bearing a big box stamped "PERISHABLE", addressed to me. (Accustomed to the heartbreaking bait-n-switch of answering the front door only to retrieve a fat packet for a neighbor - like giving a ride to someone else's date.)

Jessica Bard, of Field Road (Wayson's Road) sent a chocolate footprint of the Buddha for the only-in-upstate-New York confectionary, Chocolate Deities. With the note: "I look forward to being your neighbor again!"

Chocolate + Buddhist + neighborly sentiment before I'm even up there = all's well in the world for a moment.

Thank you Jessica.

Here's to divine footprints...
"Perfectly flat...they move, not alternately like the feet of ordinary men, but they both touch the ground at the same time. Nor does one end of the foot touch the ground before the other, but the whole sole touches the ground at the same moment."
From a Thai text describing Buddha's feet.

Ommmmmmmmmm.

Isn't Jessica the BEST!

It is apparent, after viewing your "blog" site, that there has to be another adjective created to describe something as luscious as yours.
