Vote for women!

Amazon panelists including Tea Leoni, Kissinger, Mohammed Ali and Jeff Bezos (!!), and Stanford Business School's Center for Social Innovation, have chosen Pact (and 9 others), from over 1,000 worthy intitiutions, as a finalist in its Nonprofit Initiative Awards

Which means: The Amazon.com Nonprofit Innovation Award is a program designed to recognize and reward nonprofit organizations whose innovative approaches and breakthrough solutions most effectively improve their communities or the world at large.

And further:
We're also trying to make contributing to nonprofit organizations easy. Amazon.com is leveraging the power of its platform to enable customers to contribute to one or all of the finalist organizations on Amazon.com using Amazon.com's 1-Click® technology.

How is the winner determined?
Each of the 10 finalists will keep whatever monies they raise. The organization that raises the most money through September 30, 2005, will be named the winner and receive a matching grant of up to $1 million from Amazon.com.

Read about Pact and its WORTH Program for women's literacy, empowerment and development and if you're then convinced the better world really may be the one with women running the households, holding the purse strings and reading bed time stories, vote for PACT to receive Amazon's matching grant (of up to $1 million) when you donate here on the Pact profile page (linked from Amazon's home page).

To find out more about Pact's many projects and the world-changing force that is my stepmother, Sarah Newhall (Pact's President), their site's a goldmine.

Power to Pact and the ladies!
